We install full-flake epoxy and full-flake polyurea and we don't have a house favorite. What tips it one way or the other is usually local.
Detached and unheated is the norm in the old part of the village, which points to polyurea for the flexibility through winter. Newer builds on the edges can take either system.

My garage is from the forties. Is it too old?
Very likely not. Old is not the same as failed — plenty of pre-war slabs are structurally sound and simply worn on the surface, which is exactly what diamond grinding removes. Concrete that is actively breaking up is the real exception and we will say so on site.
The garage is small. Is it still worth doing?
A smaller floor costs less, and the reasons for coating it are the same — salt, hot tires, and a slab that otherwise soaks up everything dropped on it. Pricing is per square foot, so a single detached garage is one of the cheaper jobs we do.
