It holds up fine, and the reasoning is the same as for a year-round garage — you are sealing the concrete so nothing soaks in. An empty unheated building is normal around the lake and does not shorten the life of the floor. It does push the recommendation firmly toward polyurea.
Will it take a boat trailer and sleds?
That is the use it is built for. Flake broadcast to refusal under a clear topcoat gives a surface meant for gear rather than foot traffic. Worth putting something under trailer jacks and stands, though — concentrated point loads mark any floor, coated or not.
