It changes what we check before quoting. Sand and a high water table mean vapour can move up through a slab, and a coating bonded to concrete that is giving off moisture can lift no matter how well it was ground. We test the slab, and if it reads high the floor gets a moisture barrier first. That is a real cost and we would rather it be on the quote than a surprise.
